Heathrow Terminal 4 is a London underground tube station on the Heathrow branch of the Piccadilly line, located in Travelcard zone 6. The station is located on a unidirectional clockwise loop that branches off after Hatton Cross westbound, and rejoins the Heathrow branch eastbound to the west of Heathrow Terminals 2 & 3.
In other words, to reach Heathrow Terminal 4 station, one must take the trains going to that station or change at Hatton Cross, as it is impossible to reach it with the trains going to Heathrow Terminals 2 & 3 and Heathrow Terminal 5. It is possible however to reach Heathrow Terminals 2 & 3 station after Heathrow Terminal 4, as it will be the next eastbound station on the route. The passengers need to remember though that the train stands on the platform for at least 8 minutes before departing from Heathrow Terminal 4.
Heathrow Terminal 4 tube station was opened on 12 April 1986 to serve Heathrow Terminal 4, which was opened 11 days prior on 1 April 1986. The station is one of four stations on the Underground to have just one platform, it is adjacent to Heathrow Terminal 4 railway station used by Elizabeth line services.
Heathrow is named after the hamlet of Heath Row, which was obliterated for construction of the airport. The word 'Heathrow' consists of two parts: 'heath' and 'row'.
The word "heath" is derived from the Middle English word 'heth' or 'heeth', which in turn is derived from the Old English 'hæþ' - 'heath, wasteland, wilderness, uncultivated land'.
The word 'row' is probably derived from the Old English word 'ræw' - 'a row line'.

I visited the station only once, in January 2023. The pictures below are from that visit.
