2023 in Numbers
(and not only)
A post with some statistics for my 2023 year
2023 in Books
I read 37 books in 2023, which is not as many as I would have liked but still something. I had both amazing reads and disappointing ones.

Probably, the most disappointing book I read last year was "A Game of Thrones" by J.R.R. Martin. Because of all the hype with both the books and the TV show, I expected it to grab me and not let go, but a lot of the time while reading it I found myself thinking about something else.
I also started listening to more audiobooks last year because I started commuting a lot. I mainly use Audible for listening, but I listened to some audiobooks on other services too. I only have Audible "wrapped" though which I started using in September, so the stats are from September to December.

2023 in Travel
My 2023 travel in numbers:

-
9 countries (3 for the first time*): Antigua and Barbuda*, Austria, Belgium*, Georgia, Germany, Hungary*, Italy, Switzerland, United Kingdom
-
113 cities/towns
-
40,114 km walked/drove/rode
And a bit more detailed travel stats by trains are shown below:

2023 in Sport
In February, when I was in Sicily, I firmly decided to walk more and I kept my promise since then. Although closer to the end of the year I walked a bit less, I am still quite satisfied with my results. Last year I also returned to archery, which I am really happy about.

2023 in Education
Languages
The only numbers for languages I have are for Duolingo but that's not all. I also occasionally have Korean classes on italki and I have also been attending an Italian course offline.
Podcasts
I am not a big podcast listener but I do have a few podcasts that I listen to regularly. Interesting how my top 5 podcasts are in different languages: 3 Belarusian, 1 German and 1 English, maybe I should add something in Italian and Korean to have even more diversity?!

2023 in Music
I mainly listen to music on Spotify, so the stats they give pretty much reflect my music preferences. The only thing I don't really enjoy is that they published their "wrapped" already in November. What about December? Nobody cares already, apparently...

Anyway, my top artist since I don't remember when has been Linkin Park and most likely it will stay this way because no one is as cool as they are! I also love Sabaton, whose concert I visited last year in Vienna, and that was one of my coolest experiences of 2023. Sum 41, Nightwish and Ashes Remain are also among my favourite bands, so no wonder they are on this list.
